Receiving
News Alerts
One
of the powerful features of the IA is its ability to notify you when
an important Alert has been issued. Your IA program provides you with
the following Alert options:
|
1. Alert Mode: A flashing icon on your system tray will notify
you of an incoming Alert. Simply click on the icon and your IA will
open.
2. Pop Up Mode: You may choose to have your IA open automatically
on your desktop, displaying the News Alert on your screen.
3. Audio Alert - You may choose to add an audio alert that will notify you, even if you are not near your screen.
|
To alternate between Alert modes, simply open your IA window (click on the IA System Tray icon), click on the "MENU" and select your alert preference.
Will I receive Alerts even if I am not home?
Sure, as long as your computer is online and your IA program is activated, you will receive alerts. Once you return home simply open your IA window
and get updated!
REMEMBER! if you are off line, you must first connect to the
Internet, and only then will your recent News Alerts be downloaded.
|
Updating your Profile
Your profile contains information about your preferences, including information such as your username and password, your email address, and the categories of news to which you are subscribed.
How do I unsubscribe (or subscribe) to a category?

Troubleshooting
I am not receiving
News alerts...
There are a few
reasons why you may not be receiving your News Alerts:
1. You
are not currently "online" and connected to the Internet.
2. Your IA program is closed.
3. The IA server is currently down for maintenance.
In any of the
above cases, please follow these steps:
1. Make
sure you have internet connectivity.
2. If you do have connectivity, please wait for a few moments and
try to reconnect.
- If you are
"online" (connected to the internet), then the server
may be down for maintenance. Please retry a few moments later.
- If your problem
is not solved within a few hours, please contact our customer
support.
I Forgot my
Password
Not to worry!
Simply click on the “Forgot My Password” icon on the login window and a new password will be sent to your e-mail address!
I am using
a Mac or Linux
We are sorry,
but we are unable to provide a Mac or Linux version of the IA at this time.
We hope to have a Mac or Linux version in the next few months. Stay Tuned!!
